Maria Montessori, as almost no one else, has observed that children learn with all their senses: through feeling, smelling, tasting, touching, in movement, in concentration, and in stillness. She has developed special materials that children can learn through on their own. They discover new things by themselves - nothing comes prepackaged. Through this, children remain interested and curious. Maria Montessori divided her method into five distinct areas based upon her observations. 1. Exercises of daily living | | 2. Sensory materials | | | | | | 3. Mathematic materials | | | | | | 4. Language materials | | 5. Cosmic education | | | | | | |
